Aislng Cook is a glass designer and maker from Co.Cork.  She graduated from NCADs’ glass department in 2008.   Aisling’s work explores the elusive nature of the world around us.  She is drawn to the organic and tactile, and incorporates these elements into glass, creating microcosms of pattern and colour.  Her collections include wall panels for interiors, unique glass buttons and brightly coloured tableware.

Last year Aisling was granted the Craft Councils Future Makers Award which allowed her to attend classes by both Keith Cummings and Angela Jarman.  Her work has been exhibited extensively since graduating and she has previously been commissioned for a number of trophies by the Cork Institute of Technology.  Aisling has also been very involved in the Craft Council of Irelands education panel since leaving college, facilitating workshops and taking part in primary school craft residencies.
