Sabrina Meyns
Sabrina Meyns is a jewellery designer and papermaker originally from Co. Leitrim.
Inspired by the transient, delicate and precious nature of plants and flowers she creates intricate jewellery and sculptural pieces using handmade paper and precious metals, crossing boundaries between these two materials by combining them in innovative ways.
After graduating from NCAD in 2008 with a first class Degree in Craft Design Sabrina won the IDI Graduate Award for jewellery design. She is building her profile through participating in national and international exhibitions and fairs. These include Origin09- the London Craft Fair, Design Nature Biennale in Belgium, Seoid11 jewellery exhibition in Australia, 21st Century Icons exhibition in the National Craft Gallery, Kilkenny, and LOOT in the Museum of Art and Design, New York. In both 2010 and 2011 Sabrina was selected as the youngest member of the Craft Councils of Ireland’s ‘Irish Craft Portfolio’.
